Applications open for Climate change research award

An award for students researching innovative approaches to renewable energy, climate change and carbon reduction solutions has opened for applications.

The Climate Change Thought Leadership Award, run by Privilege Finance, is open to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students studying at UK universities. The winning student will receive a £1,000 cash prize, as well as mentoring, networking opportunities and a visit to an AD plant.

“There’s an urgent need to upscale the use of renewable energy within the UK and the next generation will be pivotal in making this happen.

“The entrants to this award are the future generation of the renewable energy sector, so supporting them through the early stages of their careers and providing them with invaluable opportunities is essential.”

“We want to celebrate the students’ innovative ideas and research. These awards allow us to do so, as well as showcasing the opportunities available in industry,” she concluded.

Applications are open until 31st Jan 2023, with the winners to be awarded in Spring 2023.
