Jonathan Werran, Chief Executive, Localis

Jonathan Werran began his career in online publishing and developed the groundbreaking ‘Wired-Gov’ service to repackage central government press releases. He then founded a boutique business to government consultancy which among other services helped pioneer the first UK public sector reverse auction.

After five years as a reporter, commentator and features editor for The Municipal Journal (The MJ), he became the first strategic communications officer for the District Councils’ Network in 2015. Prior to The MJ, he edited an online government property and public estate magazine and helped run communications and marketing for anti-poverty charity Elizabeth Finn Care.
