Charlotte Powell, Head of BioEnergy and Carbon Removals Innovation team, BEIS

Charlotte Powell is a Chartered Engineer with extensive experience in commercialising renewable technologies, particularly Anaerobic Digestion. As Operations Director of Monsal Ltd, she and her team designed and built utility scale AD Plants for clients such as Wessex Water, Suez and EnriCH4. Charlotte joined BEIS at the start of 2021 to lead their newly formed, BioEnergy and Carbon Removals Innovation team. She is now focussed on ensuring that the UK has a robust BioEnergy supply chain to meet the demands of the “Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution”.
