As the UK continues its drive to net zero by 2050, all sectors – including agriculture – will need to find ways to decarbonise.

Farming is currently a net emitter of CO2; by changing land management practices it has the capacity to play a major part in sequestering carbon leading not only to environmental benefits but farm income too, in the form of carbon credits. However, where there are advantages there may also be pitfalls.
