CLA South East: Water Debate – As custodians of water, are farmers and land managers fit to deliver?
October 28 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
The Hampshire Debate will be run as an online event this year.
The Environment Agency has warned that within 25 years England will not have enough water to meet demand. This debate will discuss Hampshire and the South East’s water crisis and whether famers and landowners are the saints or sinners in creating these issues.
There will also be debate about water usage for farming in the future. If farmers and land owners are custodians, how do they ensure they responsibly manage their use and help to protect water quality and suppliers for the next generation.
Each speaker will put across their side of the argument for 7 minutes and then open the debate. There will also be a Q&A session at the end where you can pose your questions to speakers and a networking and drop-in session where you can speak to all the delegates on a one-to-one basis.
