Green powered microgrid turns Alpine Farm fully renewable

Franz Dorner’s farm is the first and only Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) certified farm in all of Austria. Using photovoltaics (PV), energy storage technology and an energy management system, he is gradually turning his entire operation into a fully renewable farm.

All systems are interconnected by DHYBRID’s Universal Power Platform – an independent modular energy management system and microgrid control solution, which allows for the implementation of different energy sources into one economic and sustainable hybrid power supply. In addition to facilitating uninterruptible back-up power, the platform helps to optimise the performance of solar PV systems
