Deborah Crossen has over 20 years agricultural experience, specialising in natural resource and land management. She currently manages the soil and water team at IfA.

Carbon was not the main motivation when Innovation for Agriculture (IfA) started discussing the importance of soil health and improving soil resilience. Whilst farmers realised they needed to overcome problems such as erosion, compaction, weed infestations and the yield plateau, there was also a perceived mindset that profitability was poor just because farming is tough.
