The Renewable and Low Carbon Energy website

for farmers and landowners

About Us

DJ Media Publishing Ltd has been providing agricultural and rural communities with information and guidance on renewable energy and low carbon systems for nearly 20 years.

Spearheaded by David Jacobmeyer the company launched Energy Now magazine in 2007 – a printed, bi-monthly magazine published specifically for farmers and landowners to learn more about renewable energy generation, effective energy management and other low carbon solutions – including independent, practical guidance on subjects such as technology choices, benefits, challenges to deployment, opportunities, related policy, available support, optimisation techniques and more!

Details of companies able to assist in the selection and installation of suitable systems were also included, as well as examples of existing farm-based projects and interviews with key industry figures. The best practices in energy and carbon management have also been a key part of Energy Now’s content.

Energy Now has acted as media partner to some of the largest agri/rural/renewable energy trade shows throughout the UK and the DJ Media team organised the renewables area at the Royal Welsh Show for many years.

2010 saw the launch of the Energy Now Expo, an event designed to showcase the application of renewable energy systems in agricultural & rural businesses, also providing guidance on effective energy & carbon management. From 2011 onwards the event has been held in association with the National Farmers Union (NFU) and Country Landowners Association (CLA) and supported over the years by key organisations from across the energy, farming and carbon markets. The event was rebranded to Low Carbon Agriculture Show in 2020, to also look at environmental best practice on farms and estates, and then sold to Agriconnect in 2023.
