About Us
DJ Media Publishing Ltd has been providing agricultural and rural communities with information and guidance on renewable energy and low carbon systems for nearly 15 years.
Spearheaded by David Jacobmeyer the company launched Energy Now magazine in 2007 – a printed, bi-monthly magazine published specifically for farmers and landowners to learn more about renewable energy generation – including independent, practical guidance on subjects such as the technology choices, opportunities and benefits, challenges to deployment, available financial assistance and optimisation and maintenance requirements. Details of companies able to assist in the selection and installation of suitable systems were also included, as well as examples of existing farm-based projects and interviews with key industry figures. The best practices in energy and carbon management have also been a key part of the magazine’s content.
The title acted as media partner to some of the largest agri/rural/renewable energy trade shows throughout the UK and the DJ Media team organised the renewables area at the Royal Welsh Show for many years.
2010 saw the launch of the Energy Now Expo, an event designed to showcase the application of renewable energy systems in agricultural & rural businesses and provide guidance on effective energy & carbon management. From 2011 onwards the event has been held in association with the National Farmers Union (NFU) and Country Landowners Association (CLA) and supported over the years by the vast majority of key agricultural buying groups, including Anglia Farmers and Woldmarsh Producers and renewable energy trade associations such as the Renewable Energy Association (REA), British Hydropower Association (BHA) and RenewableUK. A large exhibition has always been accompanied by a multi-streamed conference, in which knowledge and insight has been shared by some of the most experienced industry representatives available. To this day the Energy Now Expo remains the only event in the UK focused exclusively on renewable energy generation and better carbon management in the agricultural and rural communities.
